Export Licensing

Date

Time

10.00am - 11.00am

Overview

An essential part of being due diligent in International Trade is to ensure your shipment, as well as your goods, are customs compliant, which foresees the possibility of your goods requiring an Export Licence.

But what is this? What is it for? An Export Licence is an authorisation provided by the UK government for any goods considered as “controlled or licensed” which could be military and paramilitary goods, dual use, technology, works of art, plants, animals, medicines and chemicals, just to mention some.

When the traded goods fall into any of these categories, traders will need to apply for export or import licences and learn what compliance responsibilities they have. It is vital that traders are aware of these responsibilities and know the relevant UK authorities to approach to avoid any potential downfalls to the export endeavors.

If you are unsure whether your goods require an export licence, join us at this webinar where trade expert Mike Court, from International Trade Matters will be walking us through the intricates of controlled goods.
