GMR service request

Goods Movement References (GMRs) are a UK customs requirement for traders moving goods into or out of Northern Ireland and Great Britain by road through GVMS-linked ports. GMRs allow traders to pre-notify all existing customs declarations, ATA Carnets, and any relevant customs documents related to a particular shipment through a unique identifier (barcode) that links them together.

Please double check your answers to confirm you listed all documentation covering the movement correctly before submitting your service request.

Only one GMR has to be raised per movement, this will cover all consolidated customs paperwork in the truck/container. Not providing full paperwork will result in a part of the shipment not clearing customs at the border.

This is a chargeable service (£25.00 + VAT per GMR). Additional bank fees might apply to foreign applicants.

We will respond to your request within the working day it has been received. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 09.00am-5.00pm hrs (GMT).
