A Night of Celebration and Inspiration: SME London Business Awards 2025

In February, the LCCI's SME London Business Awards returned for its second year, celebrating the hard work, creativity, and innovation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in London amid an ever-changing economic and political landscape. With over 300 guests in attendance, the black-tie awards, held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge, were a night of celebration and inspiration.

These awards highlighted the remarkable achievements of SMEs that have navigated challenges and seized opportunities over the past year. Companies with up to 250 employees were invited to enter 22 categories, ranging from Best New Business and High Growth Business of the Year to Business Woman of the Year and Corporate Social Responsibility Award. Participants had the chance to win gold or silver in their respective categories and the opportunity to be crowned the overall winner of the SME London Business Awards 2025.

Finalists, sponsors, and guests enjoyed a flowing drinks reception, red carpet interviews, a delicious three-course meal, and a musical medley from Encore Entertainment before the awards ceremony commenced, hosted by TV presenter and sports reporter James Green.

LCCI CEO Karim Fatehi OBE opened the event, commenting on the significant contribution SMEs make to the UK's growth and prosperity. He praised their determination and innovation during the pandemic, in response to rising business costs, and amid global uncertainty.

The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and celebration as gold and silver winners were announced for each of the 22 awards.

Technology services provider Penta Consulting was named the overall winner. Along with the winners from other categories, they will advance to the national finals at the QEII Centre in Westminster in November, where they will have the chance to be crowned Britain’s best small business.

Beyond the awards, the event was an important networking opportunity. Entrepreneurs exchanged ideas, formed potential partnerships, and explored collaborations. The sense of community among attendees was palpable, reinforcing the idea that SMEs, often operating in isolation, can thrive through mutual support and shared knowledge.
