LCCI Visits Patron Member Middlesex University

On Wednesday 10 July, London Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited Patron member Middlesex University for a tour of the state-of-the-art sports and health facility located within the Saracens StoneX Stadium.

Karim Fatehi, Chief Executive of LCCI, met with Vice Chancellor Professor Shân Wareing and her colleagues to discuss Middlesex’s vision for transforming learning and the steps it has taken to deliver practice-oriented education and impactful research and engagement.

Fiona Suthers, Head of Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, showed us around the incredible Nursing and Midwifery Department, Professor Sally Priest and Professor Gary Hix took us around the Natural Sciences Department and Jon Cree gave us a tour of the impressive London Sports Institute.

It was inspiring to see the dedication of the department leads, their enthusiasm for the subjects they teach and the way their transformational learning bridges the gap between education and the workplace, setting their students up for life after university.

Universities like Middlesex are essential for inspiring innovation, creativity and entrepreneurialism and cultivating the next generation of professionals and leaders. We look forward to continuing our work with the University to advocate on their behalf and unlock opportunities for growth within education in London and beyond.
