What our members are doing for Ukraine

As a business committed to supporting those affected by the war in Ukraine, RPS promises to provide opportunities to those fleeing the country as well as fundraising and volunteering support through a number of initiatives. This has already seen staff volunteer at Luton Airport, assisting arriving refugees, and RPS teams wearing blue and yellow to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee. Funds have also been raised for the friends and family of the wife of our colleague, who have helped set up a field kitchen in Kyiv to feed those in need.

Our clients have also been helping support the cause. Manston Airport has a hangar that is being used as a collection hub for public donations, which include medical supplies, clothes, and toys. Our health, safety, and risk team has been supporting the Airport to manage its health, safety, and fire risks and conduct operations safely.

By making that promise, we’ve been in touch with several Ukrainian professional institutes to discuss the job positions we have available in our Planning and Design divisions. Working with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), they’re taking a leading role to support Ukrainian refugees and looking at how to attract those suitably qualified into these positions.

Our RPS talent team is also using LinkedIn to find Ukrainians with the best skillsets and capabilities available to offer positions to.

In what is a terrible situation, we are stronger together.
