Home Secretary's comments on immigration welcome says LCCI

London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has welcomed the latest comments from Home Secretary Amber Rudd which suggest the door will be kept open to workers after Brexit.

In November, LCCI produced its Permits Point and Visas report which, among other measures, advocated a London Visa, Capital Work Permits once Brexit has taken place and a Shortage Occupation List for London (as in Scotland).

Colin Stanbridge, Chief Executive of LCCI said: "This is a very welcome move from the Home Secretary. The UK's and especially London's economy is heavily reliant on the EU workforce and we need not only the 'brightest and best' as Ms Rudd advocates but also the capacity to fill the skills shortage".
