London Chamber Interim CEO congratulates new Deputy Mayor

Wednesday 20 December 2023

Karim Fatehi MBE, Interim CEO of the London Chamber of Commerce, and Industry (LCCI), said:

“LCCI extends our warmest congratulations to Howard Dawber on his recent appointment as the Deputy Mayor for Business. Howard will play a pivotal role in fostering a business-friendly environment, encouraging innovation and job creation, attracting investment, and ensuring the continued prosperity for our vibrant city.

“London is an undisputed global economic hub but we must always be looking for ways to improve and protect our status as one of the great world cities. Given Howard’s extensive experience, we have no doubt that this appointment will serve to improve the wider operating environment for London businesses and foster conditions for greater innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth in the capital.

“Given the challenging few years businesses have faced, productive engagement between policy makers and the business community is more important than ever. To that end, LCCI was delighted to take part in Howard’s first London Business Forum meeting at City Hall and we look forward to working with him to deliver winning economic policies and to champion London's position as an elite global city for innovation, investment, and commerce.”
