Mayor leading on crime - but more action needed
In response to the business publication of the Mayor of London's Business Crime Strategy, Colin Stanbridge, Chief Executive of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said: "London should be the safest place in the world to do business and we welcome the Mayor of London's pledge to enhance the capital's reputation.
"Cyber-crime is an ever-growing threat to business growth. Attacks online are costing companies nationwide around £21 billion a year, making them the greatest victims of cyber-crime.
"The Metropolitan Police and government authorities must make it easier for resource-stretched firms in London to report incidences of online crime and respond in a timely fashion. Firms must be confident that the information they provide to help in the fight against cyber-crime will be used to catch the perpetrators."
